Lee Bo-Young has been offered the lead role in upcoming tvN drama series “Mother” and she is currently “positively considering” the offer. The drama series is a remake of 2010 NTV drama series “Mother” which starred Yasuko Matsuyuki in the lead role.
For the tvN version, screenplay adaptation will be written by Jung Seo-Kyoung. She has worked with Park Chan-Wook in such dark films as “Sympathy for Lady Vengeance,” “Thirst” and “The Handmaid.” Story for the drama series revolves around a substitute teacher and a young student who bears bruises from abuse at her home.
“Mother” will air sometime next year in South Korea.
